In late 2006 the Wallan area was identified as being ready for the establishment of an evangelical church with a heart to share the Good News of Jesus through evangelism and practical involvement in the community.

Early in 2007 a core group formed to pray and plan. On April 20, 2008, Wallan Gateway Church held its first service!

In April 2013, Wallan Gateway Church moved to its purpose-built Church and Community Centre located at 7 Commercial Drive, Wallan.

The church is located in the Wallan township with a 140+ congregation travelling for our weekly gathering from areas ranging from Wallan, Hidden Valley, Kilmore, Wandong, Broadford, Pyalong, Seymour, Whittlesea, Beveridge, Doreen and more.

At WGC we aim to bring the good news of Christ into the community in a relevant and practical way. Our vision as a church is to bring the true meaning and relevance of the Bible into our lives, and to serve the community where God has placed us in a real and practical manner.

We place a high emphasis on the values of Biblical Teaching, Worship, Connect Groups, Youth and Children’s Ministry, community outreach and an overall focus on Jesus Christ.
