Milton Oliver

Milton Oliver has been engaged in full time ministry since 1987. He is an ordained Churches of Christ minister with a Diploma in Ministry, a Bachelor of Theology degree, various Post Graduate qualifications and is currently completing a Masters Degree in Theological Studies through Melbourne University of Divinity. He and his wife Anne planted a church from scratch in Sunbury in their home in 1990 which grew to over 500 people in eight years. Out of that plant other new churches were established including at Roxburgh Park where he continues to be the Senior Pastor. Milton is also the Chair of Churches of Christ in Vic-Tas. Following his ministry at Sunbury he served as Director of Church Planting with Churches of Christ Vic-Tas for five years before accepting a call to minister at Roxburgh Park. Previous to ministry he had a career in the finance sector rising to become State Manager of a large consumer finance operation. Milton has been married for 36 years, has three adult sons who all serve in ministry with him in various ways, and is lately a very proud grandfather. Along the way Milton has found time to start a Four Wheel Drive club in Melbourne’s west, become vice president of Four Wheel Drive Victoria; establish a coaching ministry; to continue to serve as an Honorary Justice in the north-west of Melbourne; become the Area Coordinator (Hume) for Community Chaplains for the Victorian Council of Churches Emergencies Ministry and write training resources for churches. He enjoys four wheel driving, photography and dinner parties. He is passionate for Christ and his church becoming powerful in mission
